Responsibilities: Michael has been instrumental in designing and developing many of the services that Auriemma’s team offers clients today. He personally represented top companies in the early days of co-branding and was the strategic advisor on the firm’s earliest portfolio sale transactions. He developed and launched Auriemma’s consumer research product, Cardbeat®. In the early 90’s Michael facilitated a series of informal gatherings of executives to discuss best practices in functional areas, which has shaped Auriemma’s well- known and highly successful Roundtables practice.
Previous Experience: Michael began his professional career in New York at Chemical Bank in 1983 and moved into consulting in 1989. Over the last 25 years, he has been a frequent speaker, teacher, and writer for the financial services industry. He has developed an impressive network of relationships with executives and leaders within the payments and lending ecosystem.
Responsibilities: Mark serves as head of Auriemma Group, which includes the Global Partnerships, Research, Finance and UK Roundtables practices. Mark plays an instrumental role in developing best-in-class payment programs and expertly-tailored research for clients on a global stage.
Previous Experience: Mark has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, including various roles at Barclaycard, Europe’s largest card issuer. His commercial, strategic and analytical skills help Auriemma support clients in partnerships, value proposition development, portfolio management, and a wide range of other areas.
Responsibilities: Tom has been with Auriemma since 2003. He helped build and currently leads Auriemma Roundtables, which covers numerous functional areas across six verticals: credit and debit card, auto finance, consumer banking, mortgage lending, and wealth management. Under his leadership, the practice has grown to more than 35 groups and 500+ members. The team produces more than 300 benchmarks each year and executes over 100 face-to-face meetings. Under his oversight, Auriemma developed VIZOR, a proprietary client portal, data repository, and delivery platform.
Previous Experience: Tom has 25+ years of payments experience, including various roles at Chase and First Chicago. He previously managed early-stage collections, process management in Disputes, Loss forecasting, and ebusiness.
Responsibilities: Stacey serves as the CAO of Auriemma’s global enterprise overseeing Human Resources, Information Technology, and Administrative Services.
Previous Experience: Stacey previously worked in executive leadership roles in the financial services, non-profit, and retail sectors. Devoted to lifelong learning, Stacey holds a MBA and the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certification. She is a certified business coach and career counselor.
Responsibilities: Mindy contributes to client engagements across Auriemma’s four lines of business. She brings decades of experience leading legal and compliance functions at card issuers, banks, and consumer payment service companies. Her legal expertise and regulatory knowledge drives development of innovative consumer payment products and services. As Auriemma’s General Counsel, Mindy advises the firm on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters and oversees the firm’s legal affairs.
Previous Experience: Mindy was previously SVP, General Counsel and Compliance Officer of Nordstrom Bank. Mindy earned Juris Doctor and BA degrees from the University of Denver, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa; is a Board member and past President of the Credit Card Bank Compliance Association; and serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Redlands.
Responsibilities: Mike manages Operations for Auriemma Roundtables , which includes service and delivery across the US and Canada. He also oversees Auriemma’s benchmarking and analytics, leading new product development and the evolution of Auriemma’s proprietary system VIZOR. Mike is also involved in a variety of consulting engagements including operational reviews, market studies and assessments, and technology assessments.
Previous Experience: Mike spent several years in the IT sector where he developed strong technical and analytical proficiency. Mike earned a BS degree in Business Management from Stony Brook University with a minor in Information Technology/Computer Science. He also served as an Advisory Board Member for the American Banker’s Association Bankcard School in 2009.
Responsibilities: Kathy manages a diversified mix of Roundtables for Auriemma with a focus on Auto Finance groups. Her portfolio of roundtables includes the Auto Dealer Finance, Auto Finance Loyalty, Auto Originations, Auto Remarketing, Auto Customer Service, Canadian Auto Operations, Card Customer Service, Consumer Banking Customer Service, Bank Back Office Operations, Retirement Customer Service, Vendor Management, and Workforce Management Roundtables. Kathy is also a key contributor on related consulting engagements.
Previous Experience: Kathy spent 20+ years managing operations for credit card, mortgage, and auto finance products while at Chase Manhattan Bank and New Century Mortgage. She has held positions in marketing, operations management, financial analysis, risk management, and fraud prevention. Kathy has a BS degree in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University’s Graduate School of Business.
Responsibilities: Ed manages a portfolio of Industry Roundtables focusing on Card and Auto Collections, Recovery and Compliance, Unsecured Lending, Mortgage Collections, Dialer Strategy, Customer Experience, and Operational Risk. He is also instrumental in consulting projects within the firm.
Previous Experience: Ed has spent 20+ years in various operational and marketing delivery roles at Citi, Bank of America, and a subprime lender. He earned a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
Responsibilities: Ira manages a portfolio of Roundtables mainly focusing on customer-facing functions. He directs the Card Chargeback, Card Fraud Control, and Consumer Banking Fraud Control Roundtables. Ira is a strategic thought leader in operational excellence and business process re-engineering. He is also influential on key operational consulting engagements.
Previous Experiences: Ira has been in the payments industry for 35+ years and has held senior positions in customer service, operations, finance, and marketing at JPMorgan Chase. Ira received an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
Responsibilities: As a Senior Director in Auriemma’s Roundtables practice, Lindsey is a member of the Leadership team responsible for the strategic vision and growth of the business. She leads the Business Practice Strategy area, which manages changes to the business model structure, policies, procedures, vision, and direction of the practice to ensure that value is delivered to clients and the business is operating effectively and efficiently to best position the Roundtables line of business for growth.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Auriemma, Lindsey worked as a news editor and reporter for trade publications in the public relations and credit union industries. As a reporter for Credit Union Times, she covered auto lending, student lending, fraud, financial literacy, savings, collections, agricultural lending, and wrote a monthly column on the banking needs of Generation Y. Lindsey graduated magna cum laude from Marist College with a BA in Journalism and Communications.
Responsibilities: Gary helps clients manage and improve their co-brand and private-label partnerships and oversees Auriemma’s Research practice.
Previous Experience: Gary has 20+ years of experience in credit card marketing, financial services, and management consulting. He spent 15 years at Citi managing large-scale acquisition and portfolio management programs. Gary had full P&L responsibility for several co-brand and proprietary portfolios. Previously, he headed the marketing department of NDB.com, a nationally recognized online trading firm, and gained significant management consulting experience at Laventhol & Horwath and Fresh Venture Advisors, a firm he founded. Gary has a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and an MBA in Marketing/Finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
Responsibilities: Steve is a Senior Director in Auriemma’s Partnerships practice. He has completed credit card program assessments and co-brand issuer and network RFP processes. Steve has managed the delivery of numerous significant partnership assignments, including several involving major airlines. His diverse background in credit cards includes structuring and negotiating strong business alliances, marketing, and business development.
Previous Experience: Steve has 20+ years of experience in partnerships development, credit card marketing, and management consulting. He spent nearly a decade with American Express in both the issuing and merchant businesses launching and managing loyalty programs and leading cross-functional teams. Steve received a BA in Political Science from Notre Dame and earned an MBA in Marketing from Wharton.
Responsibilities: Louis leads business analytics for Auriemma Roundtables, delivering insights and intelligence that help the company better serve clients and operate more efficiently. Additionally, in his role as co-manager of Quality Assurance and Business Practice Strategy, he promotes the continuous improvement of client deliverables and drives execution of the firm’s strategic agenda.
Previous Experience: Louis is a business writer turned data storyteller. He joined Auriemma Roundtables in 2011 as an Associate before managing thought leadership and regulatory correspondence for the firm. Louis has a B.A. in English-Journalism from Fairfield University.
Responsibilities: Luigi manages several Auriemma Roundtables focused on Credit Bureau Reporting and Disputes Handling, Auto Collections, Auto Compliance, and Home Equity Lending Operations. During his time at Auriemma, he has led advocacy initiatives on behalf of member organizations and contributed to various operational reviews.
Previous Experience: Between 2014-2016, Luigi managed service delivery across Auriemma’s UK practice. Prior to joining Auriemma, he worked as a reporter covering the financial services industry. Luigi graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities: Robert is Director of several Auriemma Roundtables including Auto Originations, Vendor Management, Workforce Management, Retirement Services, and Bank Back Office. He has 15+ years’ experience in financial services, business development, marketing, and management consulting. Robert’s diverse background allows him to unlock value in the Roundtables and contribute to related consulting engagements.
Previous Experience: Robert has worked with senior executives at leading Fortune 500 companies where he interpreted data from custom benchmarking studies to drive real change in the organization. He has provided executives with best practices and understandings of how industry peers are solving key challenges. Robert earned a BS in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology with certificates in Finance and Management of Information Technology.
Responsibilities: Jack is a Director of the International Partnerships practice and has worked with a full spectrum of clients across Issuing, Network and Partnership businesses since joining Auriemma in 2014.
Previous Experience: Jack has spent over a decade in the banking industry and brings a wealth of co-branding experience including the end-to-end management of issuer selection processes for companies such as IHG and Virgin Atlantic. He also shaped co-brand strategy for American Express and Mastercard, helping develop propositions and agreements for a number of partners in global markets. Previous companies include HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group where he drove programme launches, managed card transitions, and developed new and innovative product solutions. Jack studied history at the University of Hull.
Responsibilities: David is Director of Client Relations in Auriemma’s international practice. He has 25+ years’ experience developing payment and loyalty solutions within the Travel and Financial space.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Auriemma, David worked as an independent consultant leading projects across a wide range of organizations such as Virgin Atlantic Airways, IHG, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Citi, Chase, Bank of America, and MBNA. In this role, David developed payment solution strategies, created and developed partnerships, launched a range of co-branded credit cards, and created payment and loyalty concepts. Before consulting, David spent 11 years at American Express as Head of Membership Rewards, EMEA, Director of European Business Planning, and a range of roles across Corporate Card, Purchasing Card, Travel Services, and Merchant Services.
Responsibilities: Jaclyn is a Director in Auriemma’s Research practice. She directs the firm’s four member-driven consumer research publications (US Cardbeat®, UK Cardbeat, The Payments Report, Mobile Pay Tracker), and is responsible for designing and analyzing research spanning a variety of topics. She mainly focuses on consumer payment, borrowing and investing behaviors, use of mobile payments, alternative payment providers, and individual card products.
Previous Experience: Jaclyn was previously a Senior Research Analyst in the Public Relations, Reputation Management, and Public Affairs area at Harris Interactive (since acquired by Nielsen). In this role, Jaclyn gained extensive experience in the design, management, and analysis of custom research among niche audiences such as corporate executives and financial advisors. Jaclyn received a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing/Management, and an MA in Organizational Communication from the State University of New York at Albany.
Responsibilities: Phylip leads Auriemma Roundtables’ efforts in implementing new growth strategies and product development opportunities. He is primarily focused on expanding market presence, developing new Roundtables, and delivering innovative solutions to existing clients.
Previous Experience: Phylip has worked as a marketing and business development strategist at leading Fortune 500 companies within the capital markets sector. His roles have ranged from advising and executing product management to sales and client retention. Phylip graduated from Morehouse College with a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
Responsibilities: Diana is a Director in Auriemma’s Roundtables practice, focusing primarily on Card Compliance, Unsecured Lending, Complaint Management, and Operational Risk. She is also responsible for the firm’s marketing activities, including thought leadership and press outreach.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Auriemma, Diana created and produced large-scale, global conferences for the prepaid, gift card, and fintech industries. Previously, she was a staff reporter at the Wall Street Journal, covering executive education and management issues. Diana earned a BS in Journalism from the University of Florida.
Responsibilities: Kate is a Director in the International Partnerships practice and is responsible for partnerships strategy and the development of high quality, focused deliverables for our clients.
Previous Experience: Kate has worked in partnerships for over 20 years and has significant experience across the consumer financial services and payments industry. Specializing in loyalty and the co-brand space she has a proven record of delivery and commercial success across major international brands. Kate graduated from the University of Leeds.
Responsibilities: Anita is a Director in Auriemma’s Roundtables practice. She leads the Card Accounting, Card Brand Partner, Card Chief Executive, Card Credit Operations, Card Marketing Operations, and Debit Management Roundtables.
Previous Experience: Anita brings 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry to Auriemma. Anita spent 14 years at JPMorgan managing large institutional client relationships, strategic planning, and developing marketing strategy for a multibillion dollar line of business and launching new products. She also held management roles at AIG and Oppenheimer Capital. Anita has served as the client expert across these organizations to develop solutions for complex issues across multidisciplinary areas including legal, technology, finance, products, and operations. Anita earned a BA from John Jay College, CUNY and received an MS from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at the New School.
Responsibilities: Louis is the Director of Auriemma’s UK Roundtable practice specializing in Card Collections and Recoveries, Card Customer Service, and Card Fraud Control Roundtables.
Previous Experience: Louis brings a decade of experience in financial services to Auriemma, including several years at American Express. He worked in the Corporate line of business for five years developing expertise in credit, servicing, B2B risk analytics and underwriting. Louis also spent time driving the collections portfolio at American Express across all lead European markets, spanning the entirety of the company’s product offerings. Louis has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Brighton University.
